This guide will demonstrate how to create an AI Chat Tutor, customize its settings, and connect it to your courses.
How to Create and Connect AI Chat Tutors to Courses?
1. From the Campus Homepage, select "Chat Tutors"
2. Click "Create Tutor"
3. Enter a "Tutor Name" in the text box
4. Click "Create"
5. Enter a "Description" in the text box
6. Click "Add Campus files"
7. Add previously uploaded files by selecting the checkbox
8. Alternatively, you can select "Upload File"
9. Select "Browse" to locate and view files stored on your device
10. A green "Success" status will appear once your files have uploaded
11. Click "Select" once you are finished uploading and selecting files
12. Adjust the "Creativity" scale
13. Click "Reset to Default" to clear your setting customizations
14. Click "Save changes"
15. The toast message, "Tutor updated successfully" will appear
16. Click the "Instructions" tab
17. Provide instructions for how the chatbot should respond to users by typing in the text box
18. Click "Save changes"
19. Test your AI Chat Tutor in the "AI tutor playground" by asking or searching for anything in the text box
20. Click "Connect to courses"
21. Click the dropdown arrow to select courses
22. Select the checkbox next to the course(s) you want to connect the AI Chat Tutor to
23. Click "Save"
24. The toast message, "Courses connected successfully!" will appear
