Joining a Course In IllumiDesk
Joining a Course as an Instructor
When an instructor is invited, they will receive an email.
If the user is a new user, they will need to register and create an account using the email address sent to the course invitation email.
If the user is an existing user, they will need to login.
The user will be redirected to the course with Instructor level access which allows the following permission.
Create or import an Activity
Grade an Activity
Provide feedback for submitted Activities
Invite others to the Course
Joining a Course In Canvas
Joining a Course as an Instructor
The instructor will be sent an invitation from Canvas
Once an Instructor accepts the invitation, they will have instructor-level access to the course
An Instructor user can create new assignments and match the appropriate linked Activities with Illumidesk. For more information regarding linking activities, follow the activity linking section of this article
As an Instructor, you will be able to launch the Assignment which will redirect to the linked IllumiDesk Activity in the linked course
The Instructor can also access Instructor level access for the course by selecting the illumiDesk link in the side navigation panel of the course
